Dr Al Belooshi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at UAE University, Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at MBRU and a co-owner of the Orthocure Medical Center in Dubai. He is a consultant orthopaedic surgeon with particular experience in hip and knee arthroplasty, orthopaedic trauma surgery, and brings broad expertise in Robotic assisted knee replacement.
Dr Al Belooshi achieved his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1999 then undertook his orthopaedic residency programme at the University of Toronto, both taken under scholarship from the UAE Ministry of Higher Education. He took clinical fellowships at both Mount Sinai Hospital and St. Michael Hospital in 2007.
Dr Al Belooshi is an expert in hip and knee reconstruction using the latest innovation and technology. He is the first surgeon to start robotic assisted knee replacement in the Middle East. He is the key designer surgeon for Anthem, a knee system from Smith and Nephew. He is also the first surgeon in the Middle East to start hip replacement using superpath technique which enables patients to have a fast and quick recovery after the surgery. Currently he is the chairman of AO Trauma in UAE and vice president of UAE Orthopedic society.
